NEERALAYA IN WINTER
Like a dazzling white blanket, snow covers everything in and around Neeralaya in winter. No fruits grow on trees, no grass dares to show up above the snow. Inside however, is a different story. It’s warm and cozy with a crackling fire ablaze in the fireplace and warm mugs of coffee or, chocolate if you like. A time for stories about legends and of local ghosts.
The days are bright and beautiful, but short as the sun rises around 9.30 am and sets as early as around 3.30 pm. Most trekking trails are closed due to snowfall. There is not much activity around; the time is for sitting still and enjoying beautiful views of snow-capped mountains that are all around.
